Diploma Holders

Applicants must possess a diploma (B+ average) or FGPA of 3.25 or better from the University of Ghana or its equivalent and passes in five subjects including English Language at the GCE 'O' Level or passes in all the core subjects and two electives at the WASSSCE/ SSSCE Level are required. Diplomas awarded to students of the Trinity College, Legon, St. Victor's major Seminary, Tamale, St. Peter's Major Seminary, Pedu, Cape Coast, and the Christian Service College, Kumasi, and other affiliate institutions may be considered. The subject in which the Diploma is held shall be approved as one of the subjects to be studied at the degree level. On recommendation by the Head of Department, a candidate who obtains a diploma with distinction in any subject may also be considered.

All applications should be supported by a full transcript of academic record at the time of submission of application documents.

For the avoidance of doubt, University of Ghana diploma holders in any one of the following programmes are eligible to apply to the same area of study if the holder has obtained a B+ average/FGPA of 3.25 or better.

Accounting**, Archives Administration*, Dance Studies, General Agriculture, Home Science, Library Studies*, Music, Nursing, Public Administration**, Social Administration, Statistics, Study of Religions, Theatre Arts.

* Preference is given to candidates working in a Library or an Archives Unit.
** Post-Diploma working experience of three years is normally required.
