HOW TO APPLY

APPLICANTS TO DEGREE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES

ON-LINE APPLICATION SCRATCH CARDS can be obtained with Bankers Draft by Applicants with Ghana WAEC results at the Cash Office and the Information Centre of the University of Ghana, Legon Campus, at the Institute of Adult Education Offices in all the regional capitals, and at UniBank, Ecobank, Ghana Commercial, and HFC Banks.

Applicants should buy the appropriate Application Scratch Card and CAREFULLY follow the instructions given.

DIPLOMA TO DEGREE APPLICANTS

Qualified Diploma holders may purchase and complete a Bachelor's Degree Application Form stamped "DIPLOMA TO DEGREE".

GHANAIAN APPLICANTS WITH FOREIGN BACKGROUND

Applicants must purchase the appropriate form (blue printed) form and submit the completed forms to the Admissions Office.

Application Fees are as follows:

Bachelor's Degree /Non Degree - GH ¢ 70.00
International Applicants and Ghanaians applying from abroad - US $ 75.00

WARNING

All Applicants must take note that the process for admission to the University of Ghana is very transparent. Applicants should therefore beware of any characters who may approach them on the pretext of assisting them gain admission for a fee.

IMPORTANT NOTICE.

SINCE THE 2007/2008 ACADEMIC YEAR, THE UNIVERSITY OF GHANA HAS CEASED TO ADMIT APPLICANTS WITH THE WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATION COUNCIL'S ORDINARY AND ADVANCED LEVEL CERTIFICATES. ANY APPLICANT WITH SUCH QUALIFICATIONS MAY APPLY BY TAKING THE MATURE STUDENTS' ENTRANCE EXAMINATION.

APPLICANTS MUST ENSURE THAT THEIR ON-LINE APPLICATIONS ARE CORRECTLY FILLED, AND RECEIPT ACKNOWLEDGED ON SUBMISSION. PLEASE NOTE THAT INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.

APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE OF MARCH 31ST 2009.
